Indian Institute of Technology, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY (IIT BHU), Varanasi has declared the notice for Admission to M.Tech./M.Pharma and Ph.D. Programmes for the academic session 2014-15. Interested students may complete their applications form before 23 April 2014.

Total Number of Seats: 

• M Tech/M Pharma: IIT BHU has declared 414 seats 
• Ph.D.: IIT BHU has declared 173 seats for Ph.D. (In different Disciplines) 

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification required for PG programmes are: 

M Tech/ M Pharma Programme: B.Tech/ B.Pharma or equivalent bachelor degree with minimum 60% marks and the candidate should score the valid rank in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for M.Tech and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for the M.Pharma Programme. 

Ph.D. Programme: Master degree in respective field and must have a minimum of 60% marks or in Bachelor degree must have a minimum of 75% marks. Candidates should qualify these exams as per their field, GATE or GPAT or NET-LS or CSIR/UGC-NET-JRF or DBT-JRF or ICMR-JRF or DST-INSPIRE. 

Application Fee: Candidates must have to the declared Application Fee 

For PG Programmes (M.Tech./M.Pharma/Ph.D.): 

• Rs. 500/- for General/OBC/PC candidates 
• Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates. 

Selection Process: 

Selection for M Tech/M Pharma: On the basis of valid GATE/GPAT Scores/performance in written test and Interview. 

Selection for Ph.D. in IIT BHU: On the basis of performance in written test and interview conducted by the department.

• Notification of shortlisted candidates: 13th May 2014 (Tuesday) 
• Date of Interview / Written Test: 26-31 May 2014 (Monday - Saturday) 
• Date of Registration: 23rd July 2014 (Wednesday)
