Indian Railway Platform Ticket Going online
Platform tickets are most important to buy when you are entering into any Indian Railways’ platform. Earlier, it had become a tradition to our society for single relative, whole family used to go to station to see-off. This was resulting a ‘crowd explosion’ on the platform and hence creating trouble to other passengers.
To control this situation, Indian Railways had launched “Platform Ticket”.
Earlier, Indian Railways Platform ticket fare was Rs. 3, but in 2012 it has revised to Rs. 5. Indian Railway Platform Ticket validity is for 2 hours only; beyond this, the ticket is not valid. If you get caught without this or after the validity of platform ticket, ticket examiner will fine you and penalty will be imposed.
On many railway stations, it is not necessary to stand in queue to take the platform ticket. One can buy just from general ticket counters. But, big stations like New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Mumbai, Bangalore etc. has separate window for the same. These windows on the peak time have long queue and taking platform ticket when you are in hurry is creating problem.
At these time, several questions arises like – “How buy platform ticket online” or “How to book platform ticket online” or “Can I get platform ticket online” or “Can I book railway platform ticket on mobile” or “How to get railway platform ticket on sms”.
Now, Indian Railway is getting demand to launch online platform ticket booking system or book platform ticket online. A pilot project has been requested for important stations like New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Mumbai and Bangalore. It will be updated on irctc.co.in and also published in all the leading newspapers. So, getting queued for PLATFORM TICKET and that too when you are in hurry; soon these days going to over.
