NEST 2016 Admission Notification

National Entrance Screening Test 2016 NEST, which is a common and compulsory exam for taking admission in National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS) Mumbai. The application is invited for integrated course. This test is conducted in 45 centers in all India.

No of Seats:

• NISER: 100 Seats 
• CBS: 35 Seats 
• ISER: 21 Seats 

Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification: Passed, 12th Class or its equivalent form recognized Board with Min 60% marks in aggregate can appear in Nest Examination 2016. Selection of the candidates is based on Merit List of NEST 2016. 

Age limit: Candidates born after July 1996. Age relaxation is applicable as per the norms of Government. 

Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates is based on their performance in Written Examination. After test merit list will be prepared. 

Application Procedure for NEST 2016: Candidates can apply online/offline. 

• Online: Through the official website of NEST www.nestexam.in 

• Offline: Candidates have to send their applications in prescribed format along with all the required documents to: The Chief Coordinator, NEST-2016, NISER, Institute of Physics Campus, Sachivalaya Marg, PO Sainik School, Bhubaneswar-751005, Odisha 

Application Fee: 

• Rs: 700/- for General and OBC candidates (Male only). 
• Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PWD and Female candidates, 
• Fee can be paid through Demand Draft for Offline procedure and through Electric Transfer for Online mode. Candidates have to send Demand Draft by speed post along with application

Important Dates: 

1. Start of Online / Offline application: Jan 2016
2. Last date for receiving request for Offline application form: Feb 2016 
3. Closing of Online / Offline application: Mar 2016
4. Downloading date of Admit Card: April 2016
5. NEST 2016 examination: May 2016 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. 
6. Declaration of results: June 2016
