Maharashtra Prison department declared the notification for the recruitment of 589 posts of Jail Sepoy and Clerk. Candidates can apply online from 06-01-2014 to 31-01-2014 after checking their eligibility.  

Name wise Numbers of vacancies are mentioned below: 

1. Jail Sepoy: 541 Posts 
2. Clerk: 48 Posts

Age limit: 

For Jail Sepoy: Age of the applicants must be between 18 years to 25 years. Relaxation as per the norms of Maharashtra Government. 

For Clerk: Age must be between 18 years to 33 years. 

Educational Qualification: SSC or its equivalent from recognized Board, with 40 wpm typing speed and Knowledge of Marathi language. 

Selection Procedure: Written Examination and Physical Fitness Test. Application procedure: Candidates can apply online through the official website www.mahaprisons.gov.in. on or before 31-01-2014.
